This demo illustrates JWAVE's ability to analyze oil and gas well information. It also demonstrates the ease in which existing PV-WAVE^® applications can be converted to JWAVE. Highlights of this application include:

• A 3-D surface with 3-D line plots
• Shaded polygon displays
• Interactive Z and X axis controls

This demonstration displays the actual well log for a selected well, well paths shaded with variables (i.e., sonic, gamma, lithology) and a shaded polygon image showing the possible location of the oil reservoir.

Directions

1. Select the variables that you wish to view (e.g., Oil Well, Well Logs, Oil Well Paths or Oil Well Potential) from the Display drop-down list box.
2. If Oil Well Paths is selected, you may change the path shading as follows:
   • Solid color: This displays the well paths a solid color.
   • With lithology: This displays the well path shaded by the rock type.
   • With gamma: This displays the well path shaded by its gamma values.
   • With sonic: This displays the well paths shaded by its sonic values.
3. If Oil Well Paths or Oil Well Potential is selected, you can rotate the orientation from 0 to 90 degrees by typing the value in the text field.
4. Press the Update Plot button to update the display.
